villager (b.1999 in Lagos, Nigeria; based in Baltimore, MD) is a neo-expressionist painter and multi-disciplinary artist who investigates humanity as a product of social conditions through color, detail, and originality.

As a self-taught artist, currently 8 months into their practice, villager presently uses acrylic and oil pastels to create simplistic yet concrete, abstract images that invite the viewer to create their interpretations of the work without the burden of rigidity and perfection.

Using primitive and childlike motifs, villager challenges themselves to construct visuals, experiences, and stories to be shared and occupied by the viewer.

villager's work allows them to explore interconnectedness and invites viewers to better understand our shared human conditions.
